To provide a mentoring program to develop young talented managers within BHP Billiton’s Global Maintenance Network. Other objectives were knowledge transfer, leadership skill and developing global capability.

 

Solution:

Oystercorp provided a mentoring program that matched high potential future managers with senior managers across BHP Billiton and around the world.

 

Result:

Successful achievement of objectives with promotion, knowledge transfer, leadership and global competence. Oystercorp has since collaboratively delivered a mentoring solution in Australia and South Africa, to participants in eleven countries and provided a tailored tool-kit solution for global roll out. Oystercorp collaboratively delivered a tailored coaching program that was rolled out internally through a Train-the-trainer format.

Oystercorp provided a tailored mentoring program that incorporated flexible and modular tools for the complete program delivery and incorporated a Train-the-trainer format

 

Result:

The tailored program tools have been designed and delivered and the Train-the-trainer component of the program has been completed. The pilot program has been evaluated as successful. The program is in it’s 4th year of roll-out.

To implement a mentoring program that encouraged engagement ‘ in new HR strategy and desired organisational priorities.

 

Solution:

Oystercorp delivered a tailored mentoring program designed around DTF’s organisational priorities. The program was designed to be stepped out in phases to specific groups with a range of objectives to match the rate of cultural change in DTF.

 

Result:

The success of the pilot program has led to roll out. Programs have been delivered to specific groups including: talent and high potentials, new employees (graduate induction) and is now an open program throughout the Department, to date 25% of DTF’s people have participated. The program is in it’s 4th year of roll-out.

Solution:

Oystercorp provided a tailored peer mentoring program and tool kit to develop the coaching skills and behaviours of participants.

 

Result:

The pilot program was successfully evaluated and was followed by program rollout into further divisions (i.e. IAG Teleclaims).
